Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering:


The purpose of this qualification is to provide caterers with knowledge of basic food safety practices and the content has been developed and distributed by the Sector Skills Council People 1st. Under UK legislation, anyone who handles food as part of their job role should be supervised and instructed and/or trained in food hygiene relevant to their work activity. The Food Standards Agency regularly reports increases in the number of cases of food poisoning, which clearly demonstrates a requirement to improve food safety, which can be achieved if staff are properly qualified. Aims and broad objectives of the qualification:To cover the legal requirements of food safety training  To improve the general level of food safety in the catering environment.


Level 2 Award in Healthier Food & Special Diets:


The EDI Level 2 Award in Healthier Food and Special Diets offered by Education Development International (EDI) has been developed from the National Occupational Standards produced by People 1st, the sector skills council for hospitality and catering.
The EDI Level 2 Award in Healthier Food and Special Diets contains one mandatory unit.


Emergency First Aid:


This 12-hour first aid course is designed for childcare workers, including a range of professionals from teachers, nursery staff, childminders, crèche workers, and nannies to playgroup personnel and meets the OFSTED requirements for childcare provision.
